What will you do?

Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for making the mise-en-place for all the dishes. Everything is made fresh, so you will ensure that all mise en place is ready for service. Under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Head Chef, you will take charge of the Banqueting kitchen. You will train and inspire colleagues and students and guide them to jointly provide group dinners and buffets for the Banquet & Events department. Finally, you will apply your creativity to come up with new dishes for the seasonal menu.

Who are you?

  • You have experience as Chef de Partie in a restaurant or hotel, preferably in the banqueting department
  • You have good planning and organisational skills
  • You have strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
  • You are able to work both independently and in teams
  • You are creative, knowledgeable and passionate about food, and interested in developing new dishes
  • You are flexible! The 9 to 5 mentality is not for you, and you don’t mind working weekends
  • You have a good command of the English language
  • You are legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit
  • You live in Amsterdam (or nearby). If you don’t, accommodations can be arranged as long as you have an EU passport!
