Restaurant Manager for vibrant tropical bar

What will you do?

    As Restaurant Manager, you will be in charge of the bar’s operations. Together with your Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that company standards are met in all areas of operation, including preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, hiring, terminating, and retaining team members, financial accountability, and providing the highest quality products and services to all of our guests.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Controlling day-to-day operations through scheduling, ordering, and developing restaurant employees.
  • Controlling profit & loss by adhering to cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members, conducting performance appraisals, enforcing disciplinary action, and motivating and training your coworkers With Human Resources approval/partnership, you will also have the authority to hire and fire employees (or participate in those decisions).
  • Ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies.
  • Assuring that the bar/restaurant follows the preventative maintenance program for facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
  • Ensuring a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating the team’s safe work behaviors.
  • Maintaining quick, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensuring that products meet company quality standards.
  • Ensuring food quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring complete and timely execution of local marketing with approval/partnership from the PR & Marketing department.
  • Who are you?

  • You have at least two years of relevant managerial experience in the hospitality industry
  • You are passionate and knowledgeable about food
  • You have good reporting skills
  • You want to continue to learn and grow professionally, and are interested in working within an expanding company where there are plenty of growth opportunities
  • You are a responsible team manager with great social and communication skills
  • You are quick on your feet and well-equipped to handle stressful situations
  • You are hospitality-minded and have guest service attitude
  • You are legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit
  • You live in (or near) Eindhoven
