Front Office Host / Receptionist for international five-star hotel

Are you an enthusiastic team player with a hands-on mentality and plenty of personality? Do you enjoy acting as a personal concierge for guests, providing only the greatest recommendations and ensuring that their stay is really personalised and memorable? What will you do?

As a Front Office Host, you will go out of your way to ensure that our guests have the finest arrival and departure experience possible. To do this, you will conduct Check-In and Check-Out tasks, answering guests’ questions and comfortably explaining what the hotel has to offer, all while upselling and recommending their services as much as possible. You will be a comprehensive host, which means you will be the luggage porter, concierge and receptionist, all hours of the day and night.

Who are you?

  • You have at least one year of experience working in a Front Office department, preferably at a luxury hotel
  • You have a hospitality or tourism degree, or equivalent experience
  • You do not shy away from any front-office administrative tasks, projects, or responsibilities
  • Knowledge of OPERA and/or other related systems is advantageous
  • You have a valid driver’s licence and are not afraid to use it, for both driving and parking guests’ automatic and manual vehicles in our hotel garage
  • You have excellent English language and communication skills (and preferably in Dutch)
  • You are legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit
  • You live in Amsterdam (or nearby). If you don’t, temporary accommodations can be arranged!
