Who is our client?
A family-owned group of modern seafood restaurants that offer a wide variety of the highest quality seafood. They currently have five locations in Amsterdam, Utrecht and London, and plan to keep growing along with their enthusiastic team, which values hard work and development!What will you do?
As Chef de Partie, you will assist with preparations (mise en place), run your section during service, and help clean the kitchen. Consistently high quality is very important to our client, so you will work with your colleagues to ensure that each and every dish that leaves the kitchen meets the restaurant’s standards.Typical Menu
Fingerfood
- Fried fish pieces ‘kibbeling’ with tartar sauce
- Dutch shrimp croquettes
- Grilled octopus from Galicia
- Vongole (clams) and razor clams with white wine sauce, garlic and cream
- Sashimi from salmon, scallop and sea bass
Plancha and Fruits de Mer
- ‘Nordic Blu’ Salmon filet with vichyssoise and grilled leek
- Turbot on the bone with beurre noisette and fried capers
- Fruits de mer: Mussels, cockles, razor clams, unpeeled shrimps, vongole (clams), periwinkles, shrimps, house salad, Tourteau crab, seaweed salad and oysters
Pasta, plateau & salade
- Ravioli with green asparagus, tomato sauce and parmesan cheese
- Spaghetti vongole
- Plateau: Fresh salad, smoked mackerel, shrimps, house salad and two types of smoked ‘Nordic Blu’ salmon
- Salad: Scampi, mango and avocado
Who are you?
- You have at least one year of experience in a restaurant kitchen, as Chef de Partie, Cook or other;
- You are passionate and knowledgeable about seafood;
- You are a stress resistant team player;
- You know the regulations regarding hygiene and food safety (HACCP);
- You are available for 24 – 40 hours a week;
- You are flexible, and don’t mind working evenings or weekends;
- You speak and understand Dutch or English well;
- You are legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit;
- You live in (or near) Amsterdam.
Terms of Employment
- Fixed salary between €2.200 and €2.900, depending on your experience, plus about €600 to €900 in monthly cash tips;
- Flexible working hours!
- 8% holiday allowance;
- 26 vacation days based on full-time employment;
- You will be automatically enrolled in the hospitality pension scheme;
