One of the largest hotel groups in the world is looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join the growing kitchen of their newest Amsterdam hotel! Do you want to work directly under the Executive Chef and support the opening of their newest restaurant in a 4-day workweek? Then continue reading ahead!

Typical Menu

Tapas

  • Dutch oyster from Zeeland, with lemon and black pepper
  • Airbread canapes with creamy manchego, fig jam and fresh black truffle
  • Mini croquettes “chorizo ibérico” with black pepper cream
  • Spanish egg and potato tart with 3 salsas

Starters

  • Sardines with grilled baby leek, romesco and crunchy black olive
  • Fresh tuna with cucumber, green gazpacho and pimenton ponzu
  • Beef tartare with cepes, jerusalem artichoke and olorosso sherry
  • Pulpo a la plancha with roasted salad aioli and crunchy potato

Main dishes

  • Roasted seabass with herbs, spices and sobrasada butter
  • Roasted entrecôte with chimichurri, beef jus and wild garlic
  • Iberian porkchop with red mojo sauce, sweet onion jus and rosemary
  • Cabbage barbecue with green mojo, almonds and pumpkin romesco

Side dishes

  • Patatas bravas with potato chips, pimiento, bravas sauce and aioli

What will you do?

    As Chef de Partie, you will be in charge of your own section of the sky bar kitchen, where you will be responsible for:
  • Taking care of the mise en place;
  • Preparing the most delicious dishes according to the hotel’s recipes, all according to your own schedule;
  • Planing the daily activities and checking on stock needs;
  • Monitoring the HACCP guidelines and recipes.

Who are you?

  • You have a passion for food and creating unique experiences for guests;
  • You have at least 1 year of experience as Chef de Partie or similar;
  • You have a Level 2 or 3 degree in cooking;
  • You have excellent product knowledge and a well developed sense of taste;
  • You have strong communication skills;
  • You have an eye for detail and perfect hygiene standards;
  • You are flexible to work weekdays or weekends;
  • You are able to work under pressure;
  • You have a good command of the English and/or Dutch languages.
