Chef de Partie working in the kitchen of a french cuisine restaurant

Chef de Partie for group of French restaurants

A group of restaurants in Amsterdam specialised in French cuisine is looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join their motivated team! If you feel right at home in the kitchen and would like to show off your talents at an atmospheric restaurant with high culinary standards, founded by one of the Netherlands’ most well-known television chefs, then we want to hear from you! Apply below!

Who is our client?

Since the opening of their Michelin BIB Gourmand-winning café in 2016, this restaurant group now consists of four successful high-end restaurants in Amsterdam, each with its own distinctive ambiance, audience and menu. The basis of the restaurants is classic French cuisine in all its simplicity: beautiful seasonal products are prepared in traditional, generous bistro-style dishes by a young, innovative team of experienced colleagues. They are led by a well-known Dutch chef and his family, who believe that a love of good food and being together is what brings people together!

What will you do?

    As Chef de Partie, you will independently manage your section of the kitchen. Together with the Chef, you will develop recipes and handle the full preparation of the dishes that fall under your section.
Your responsibilities will include accurately evaluating the quality of the fresh products every day, monitoring the kitchen’s strict standards and ensuring that the quality and presentation of each dish is just right. Additionally, you will be involved in preparatory work by supervising the work of the Kitchen Assistants and providing them with guidance and instructions as needed. You will always be willing to develop yourself further, try out new recipes and outdo the expectations of guests, your colleagues and even yourself!
  • You have at least 2 years of experience as Chef de Partie or similar;
  • You can demonstrate your proficiency with professional cooking techniques;
  • If you already have experience with French cuisine, that’s an advantage!
  • You’re legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit;
  • You live in Amsterdam (or nearby).

Terms of Employment

  • The ability to split your time more flexibly;
  • A four-day work week;
  • The opportunity to hone your craft within this unique kitchen;
  • An attractive pension scheme from the age of 21;
  • 25 vacation days;
  • Guidance from the head chef to perfect the various traditional cooking techniques;
  • The possibility to weigh in on the menu!
  • Growth opportunities within the company;
  • The opportunity to obtain your HACCP and/or social hygiene certificate, if you don’t already have one.
