What will you do?
- As Bar Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and overseeing the entire beverage operation of the cocktail bar and the restaurant bar;
- Planning and developing the overall bar marketing strategy in order to increase productivity and sales;
- Creating and presenting (new) bar menu in collaboration with mixologists and bartending staff;
- Making food pairing recommendations; Responding professionally and authentically to guest questions and complaints;
- Maintaining and exceeding guest expectations;
- Maintaining bar inventory and supplies;
- Complying with all food and beverage regulations;
- Assessing guests needs and preferences;
- Hiring, training, and leading staff;
- Organising and supervising shifts;
- Nurturing a positive working environment.
Who are you?
- You have at least two years of experience as a Bar Manager;
- You are a skilled mixologist;
- You have experience with exclusive bar openings;
- You are a pioneer and enjoy challenging the status quo;
- You have an empowering and motivational leadership style and enjoy leading a team of bartending professionals;
- You have excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills;
- You enjoy designing bar marketing strategies, recruiting staff members, training, overseeing quality, as well as greeting and serving guests;
- You have a very good command of the English language. Dutch is an advantage!
- You are legally permitted to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid dutch work permit;
- You live in Amsterdam (or nearby).
Terms of Employment
- € 45.000 gross annual salary, based on a full time contract;
- A year-end bonus of up to 100% of your gross monthly salary;
- After your first three months, you will get a € 250 (gross) signing bonus, followed by a second € 500 bonus (gross) after 12 months;
- € 500 (gross) refer-a-friend bonus;

Wat ga je doen?
- Als Bar Manager ben je onder andere verantwoordelijk voor:
- Het beheren en overzien van de gehele drankoperatie van de cocktailbar en de restaurantbar;
- Het plannen en ontwikkelen van de algemene bar marketing strategie om de productiviteit en verkoop te verhogen;
- Het creëren en presenteren van (nieuwe) bar menu in samenwerking met mixologen en bartending personeel;
- Het doen van food pairing aanbevelingen;
- Professioneel en authentiek reageren op vragen en klachten van gasten;
- Het handhaven en overtreffen van de verwachtingen van de gasten;
- Bijhouden van bar inventaris en voorraden;
- Voldoen aan alle voedsel- en drankvoorschriften;
- Beoordelen van behoeften en voorkeuren van gasten;
- Het aannemen, trainen en leiden van personeel;
- Organiseren van en toezicht houden op diensten;
- Een positieve werkomgeving verzorgen.
Wie ben jij?
- Je hebt minstens twee jaar ervaring als Bar Manager;
- Je bent een ervaren mixoloog;
- Je hebt ervaring met exclusieve baropeningen;
- Je bent een pionier en daagt graag de status quo uit;
- Je hebt een stimulerende en motiverende leiderschapsstijl en vindt het leuk om een team van bartending professionals te leiden;
- Je hebt uitstekende time management, interpersoonlijke en communicatieve vaardigheden;
- Je vindt het leuk om marketingstrategieën voor de bar te ontwerpen, personeel te werven, te trainen, toezicht te houden op de kwaliteit en gasten te begroeten en te bedienen;
- Je hebt een zeer goede beheersing van de Engelse taal. Nederlands is een pluspunt!
- Je bent wettelijk toegestaan om in Nederland te werken, in het bezit van een EU/EER paspoort of een geldige Nederlandse werkvergunning;
- Je woont in (of nabij) Amsterdam.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
- € 45.000 bruto per jaar, op basis van een fulltime contract;
- Een eindejaarsuitkering van maximaal 100% van je bruto maandsalaris;
- Na je eerste drie maanden krijg je een tekenbonus van € 250 (bruto), gevolgd door een tweede bonus van € 500 (bruto) na 12 maanden;
- € 500 (bruto) refer-a-friend bonus;
